A skill interview is HireRoo's unique interview support feature where candidates first take a coding test, and then the interview delves deeper based on the test results. By utilizing the submitted code and solution process from the test as material, higher quality technical interviews can be achieved.

What You Can Do with Skill Interviews

With skill interviews, you can enhance the quality of your interviews by utilizing the following features:

1. Automatic Generation of Follow-up Questions

Based on the candidate's test results (submitted code and answers), follow-up questions for interviewers are automatically generated. This allows for specific questions based on the test results, enabling a deeper understanding of the candidate's skills and thought processes.

2. AI Evaluation

AI analyzes the code during the interview, the design process, and conversation logs to automatically generate evaluations for the following four items:

• Coding skills
• Communication skills
• Problem-solving ability
• Design ability

This reduces the burden on interviewers while enabling objective and consistent evaluations. For more details, please see What is AI Evaluation.

3. Conversation Summary and Conversation Playback

The conversation during video calls is automatically summarized and displayed, and the process of the conversation during the interview can be replayed. This is useful for reviewing the candidate's communication skills and thought process after the interview.

Skill Interview Process

Skill interviews are conducted in the following steps:

Step 1: Conduct Coding Test

Candidates take a coding test (coding format or system design format).

Step 2: Review Test Results

Review the candidate's submitted code and answers to identify key areas for in-depth questioning during the interview.

Step 3: Conduct Live Coding (Skill Interview)

Use the "Create interview from scratch" feature to set up a live coding interview based on the test results. Conduct the interview using HireRoo's video call, Google Meet, or Zoom.

Step 4: Review AI Evaluation and Conversation Summary

After the interview, you can check the AI evaluation results and conversation summary from the "Report" tab on the interview details screen.

Usage Requirements

Target Period	Candidates who took the test on or after April 17, 2025

An additional selection fee will be incurred if "Create interview from scratch" feature is used to conduct live coding based on test results.
