The most critical factor in conducting a coding test is question selection. This page provides recommended question combinations based on actual hiring scenarios.

New Graduate Hiring

Basic Pattern

The foundational combination for new graduate recruitment.

  • Algorithm Format (Difficulty: Easy)
  • Multiple Choice Format (Difficulty: Easy)
  • AI Collaboration Format (Difficulty: Easy, or add optionally) We recommend using the AI Collaboration format over the Practical format. This format is effective when you want to evaluate team development skills and tasks similar to actual work.

High-Level / High-Volume Hiring Pattern

Even when the number of candidates is large or you wish to hire high-level engineers, it is appropriate to limit the number of questions to no more than 3. To assess the abilities of high-level candidates in particular, we recommend combining 2–3 of the following formats:

  • AI Collaboration Format (Normal to Slightly Difficult, Recommended)
  • System Design (Recommended)
  • Algorithm Format (Difficulty: Normal or higher, add as needed)

  • AI Collaboration Format: Uses problems modeled after tasks utilizing AI with actual development frameworks and tools. It evaluates compatibility with future work scenes, collaborative ability, and flexible problem-solving. This is recommended as a standard choice.
  • System Design: Best for testing complex design skills and upstream process capabilities. Suitable for assessing high-level candidates.
  • Practical Format: Focuses on business scenarios to evaluate team development processes, requirement organization, and specification comprehension. However, we suggest prioritizing the AI Collaboration format.
  • Multiple Choice Format: Suitable for checking specific knowledge essential for mid-career roles.
