You can now set evaluation items when creating an interview. This allows interviewers to ask appropriate questions based on the evaluation items.

Background to the Release

When evaluating live coding, it's crucial to set evaluation items in advance to ask questions at the right time based on the candidate's code and statements. Clearly defining these evaluation items enables more effective and fair evaluations. While it's possible to add evaluation items after live coding begins, setting them in advance allows for smoother interaction with the candidate and questions aligned with the evaluation items.

  • Achieving Effective and Fair Evaluations: Evaluation criteria help evaluators objectively assess a candidate's abilities, free from subjective bias. Clear evaluation axes reduce variations in evaluations among evaluators, enhancing fairness.
  • Optimizing Question Timing: By observing a candidate's actions according to evaluation criteria, appropriate moments to ask questions are not missed. This allows for a deeper understanding of the candidate's thought process and more accurate questioning.
  • Reducing Interviewer Burden and Achieving High-Quality Interviews: Live coding demands high skills from interviewers, but by setting evaluation criteria in advance, interviewers can focus on analyzing the candidate's expressions and dialogue in real-time and concentrating on the evaluation. Even less experienced interviewers can conduct high-quality live coding interviews.
