How to Use the Entry Screen

Learn how to use the "Entry Screen" displayed before you start taking a test.

Structure of the Entry Screen

The entry screen displays the following sections:

Test Overview: Information such as the test's time limit, number of questions, and format.
Important Notes: Guidance on rules and environment for taking the test.
Questions from the Company: Unique questions or confirmation items set by the hiring company (only displayed when applicable).
Test Start Form: Fields for entering your name, email address, and a start button.

Switching Display Language

A globe icon is displayed at the top right of the entry screen. Clicking this icon allows you to switch the display language of the screen to Japanese, English, or other languages.

Answering Questions from the Company

Depending on the hiring company's settings, unique questions or confirmation items may be displayed on the entry screen.

Carefully read the content displayed in the "Questions from the Company" section.
Answer according to the format of each question (e.g., text input, multiple choice).
Fill in all required fields before proceeding to the next step.

Important: These questions are set uniquely by the hiring company. Please contact the respective hiring company for details, not HireRoo support.

Filling Out the Test Start Form

Enter your name and email address in the form at the bottom of the entry screen.

Enter your full name in the "Name" field.
Enter a valid email address in the "Email Address" field.

Important: A resume URL for the test will be sent to the email address you enter. Even if you accidentally close your browser or lose your connection, you can resume the test from the link in the email you received. We recommend using an email address you use regularly.

Starting the Test

Once you have completed the form, the following two buttons will be displayed:

Take Test or Demo Now

Clicking "Take Test or Demo Now" will display a dialog box for selecting how to start.

Options in the dialog box:

Check Demo: Opens a demo environment separate from the actual test. You can check the question format and how to operate it in advance. This does not affect scoring.
Start Production: Starts the actual test. The time limit begins counting once started.

Important: You can check the demo environment as many times as you like. If you are unsure about the operation, we recommend practicing with the demo before starting the actual test.

Take Test Later (Issue Test Link Only)

Clicking "Take Test Later (Issue Test Link Only)" will send a personal link for the test to the email address you entered, without starting the test immediately.

Flow when this button is selected:

A unique test URL will be sent to the email address you entered.
Open that URL at your convenience.
The entry screen will reappear, and you can then start the test.

Important: If the hiring company has set a submission deadline, please take the test within that deadline. The deadline is stated in the "Test Overview" section of the entry screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I entered the wrong email address.

A. If it's before the actual test starts, please correct the form and re-enter. After the actual test has started, you cannot change your email address during the test. Please contact the hiring company.

Q. Are the questions in the demo environment and the actual environment the same?

A. No, the demo environment provides sample questions for demonstration purposes. They are different from the actual test questions. Please check the operation method with the demo before proceeding to the actual test.
